Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a lovely view of the backyard and provided clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms, although some small details were missing from what you'd expect in a superior business room. The service was mixed, with nice and attentive staff, but some misunderstanding on specific requests. The location was ideal for accessing the center of Douglas and the promenade, although road works caused some inconvenience. The dining experience was excellent, offering a great variety of well-cooked dishes. Overall, good value for money with minor areas for improvement.
The hotel had a terrible view of two side buildings, a bathroom with water leaking from above, and a very stuffy room. The tiny size, especially in the slightly tired bathroom, was noticeable, but considering the building's conversion, it was quite adequate. Being at the back of the building overlooking an alley full of bins was not ideal.
The hotel offers a mix of positive and negative experiences. The rooms, though a bit small due to converted buildings, are quite adequate. While the rear-facing rooms overlook noisy alleyways, the front rooms boast great views over the bay and promenade. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff, but some rooms are small and hot. The location is very modern and comfortable, though parking could be problematic. The dining experience is delicious, especially the Manx breakfast, but healthy snacks are limited. Overall, the hotel provides a good value for the price, with some room for improvement in certain areas.
